Premium Jasmine Green Tea

Saphera’s Jasmine Green Tea is a wonderful blend of sweet jasmine blossoms and early picked green tea. The tea has a gently sweet taste with the tantalizing aroma of night blossoming jasmine.

Jasmine is a fragrant flowering plant whose buds stay closed during the day and blossom only at night as temperatures drop. For this reason, the blossoms are picked early in the morning and stored in a cool place until they open at night. As the petals unlock, the jasmine is blended with green tea and stored for several hours during which the flower scents infuse the tea and leave behind their sweet fragrance and flavour. This infusing process is repeated several times with gentle roasting periods between infusions to remove the moisture stored in the delicate petals. The used up flowers are later discarded leaving behind a perfectly infused tea. This magical process has made Jasmine Green tea the most well known scented tea in China for over eight hundred years.
